EVIT culinary students serve over 300 at fundraiser

The East Valley Institute of Technology Education Foundation, Inc. (EVITEF, Inc.) hosted its annual fundraising breakfast this morning. More than 300 guests enjoyed the gourmet offerings prepared and served by EVIT Culinary Arts students. EVIT Chef Michael Turcotte announced the fall inspired menu.

Cranberry Hollandaise, Fall Squash Hash
German Apple Pancake, Cinnamon Schnapps Foam

The event sponsor, University of Advancing Technology, was joined by 25 more businesses that support the programs at East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT).

Neil Barna, Sunrise Bank President and Chairperson of EVITEF, Inc. was the Master of Ceremonies for the event.He welcomed former and current students to tell how EVIT has enhanced their lives.
MacGyver Mann is an Aviation student who just did his first solo last week. He thanked the supporters of EVIT for making such a program possible.

Sam and Olga Bender gave the first contribution to begin the EVITEF Foundation in 1999. Each year an award is given in their name to the person who made a great difference at EVIT. This year's award winner is Dr. Art Piccinati who is a Past President and active member of EVITEF.
Funds raised at this event will be used to help students pay for class related expenses such as uniforms, tools or certification testing.
