Instructor, Terry Baugher's class bought over $660.00 worth of gifts, food, and household items that are being delivered to the Forever Courage House today. Forever Courage House is a temporary living facility available for use by families of burn victims and the patient when returning for treatment at the Arizona Burn Center.

Located at the end of the Light Rail, EVIT students took advantage of the public transportation to attend the annual event. 
Students learned about exciting careers in military medicine and life in the operating room. They especially enjoyed the opening and closing sessions talking about all the opportunities for students who participate in HOSA and their futures in health care careers. EVIT Instructor Jon Howell was recognized for being selected to serve during the National Convention this year. Howell and EVIT Instructor Sharon Black conducted a session on "How to Win" in the HOSA Bowl.
EVIT provides Health Care training for more than 900 high school students in the east valley.

The judges gave the count and at the signal to begin, the chefs darted to the sink to wash their hands to begin preparation for the competition. The judges scrutinized every move of the competing chefs who were working as a team. 
Head Start students were greeted by McGruff, the crime dog and were given coloring books, balloons and candy.
Finally they got to crawl into a police replica squad car to see firsthand what it looks like inside, while the Law students explained all the features,
All EVIT students are in competition for a car that will be spruced up by EVIT's Automotive Technology and Collision Repair classes. But, this year EVIT seniors will have another chance to win a brand new Chevy Cruze as part of General Motors' Chevy Drive for Perfection contest.
Steve Marley, Service Manager of Thorobred Chevrolet, says that this is a chance for industry to promote a perfect attendance work ethic while students are still in training. The drawing will take place on May 23rd!
Angel Navarrette, Administrative Assistant at EVIT agreed to be an authentic test for future Medical Assistants. Historically, oranges have been used to practice the "stick" but, let's face it, oranges don't complain if it hurts or you miss the vein. The EVIT program insists upon the real thing. 
The morning students took advantage of comfortable temperatures and studied and drew the EVIT architecture, paying attention to spatial differentiation and depth perception. The afternoon students stayed inside and took in the tall ceilings in the lobby of the Administration Building for their studies.
The annual back to school night was designed for parents to meet the teachers and principal and check out their student's classroom. Principal James Fisher was on hand to greet parents and direct them to their classrooms.
